John Lewis Prior, Jr.
October 31, 1947 - June 22, 2013

John L. Prior, Jr., age 65, of Battle Creek, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013 at his home. He was born October 31, 1947 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of John Lewis and Arlene (Spalding) Prior.

John graduated from Lakeview High School in 1965 then went on to serve in the U.S. Navy from July 8, 1966 until his discharge on April 1, 1970. He served aboard the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk during the Vietnam War.

For fifteen years he worked for U.S. Wire Company then worked for Stanton Interiors for fifteen years.

John was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by two sisters: MaryJo (Ed) Stanton of Battle Creek and Jacqueline Haukedahl of Toledo, OH; one brother: Gary L. Prior of Battle Creek and several nieces and nephews.
